Meet Tony
Gut Directed Hypnotherapist
What my fellow Hypnotherapy Professionals have to say about me …
Feedback following my presentation at the NZ Association of Professional Hypnotherapists (NZAPH) annual conference - Nov 2025
“Thank you for your fascinating and practical presentation on gut-directed hypnotherapy. Your ability to bridge scientific evidence with compassionate client care truly captured the essence of modern hypnotherapy. You made a complex topic easy to understand and directly relevant to client care, which is a real gift.
During this 25th Anniversary of NZAPH, your work reminded us how far we’ve come in integrating mind and body approaches and how much more we can achieve together.
With gratitude,”

Clinical Hypnotherapist and mind-body coach, specializing in gut directed hypnotherapy for IBS
As an expert IBS gut-directed hypnotherapist and mind-body coach, I specialise in helping people with IBS find significant, lasting relief from their symptoms — particularly those who feel like they’ve already tried everything.
Inside my Freedom From IBS program, I work with clients from all walks of life — many of whom have been quietly struggling with persistent gut symptoms that haven’t responded to diets, supplements, or medication.
My Approach
My approach combines evidence-based gut-directed hypnotherapy with tools from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), integral eye movement therapy (IEMT). neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and other mind-body modalities. It’s built on over 40 years of clinical research, showing symptom reduction rates of up to 70–80%, and — just as importantly — long-term improvement.
I didn’t come to this work by accident
After years of specializing in stress, anxiety, and trauma relief, I became deeply curious about the gut–brain connection. The more I studied the science, the more I saw how profoundly the nervous system influences digestion — and how often stress and gut symptoms keep each other stuck in a vicious cycle.
My Passion
Now, I help people retrain their gut–brain connection, reduce the threat response that drives functional digestive conditions such as IBS, and take their lives off pause.
Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, dismissed, or discouraged. But time and again, they tell me that this approach is the turning point — the one that finally helps things shift.
If you’re feeling out of options but not ready to give up, I want you to know: Relief is possible. Your nervous system is retrainable. And you don’t have to do this alone.

My Values
When it comes to helping people gain significant, long-lasting relief from IBS, I believe clarity, compassion, and credibility matter. Here’s what guides my work — and the relationships I build with every client:
Evidence First, Always
I only use approaches backed by clinical research and real-world outcomes — no gimmicks, no guesswork. Gut-directed hypnotherapy has over 40 years of evidence behind it, and I integrate it with proven tools like CBT, ACT, IEMT, NLP and stress retraining to support meaningful, long-term change.
Empowerment Over Dependence
My goal is not to “fix” you — but to equip you. I help you understand what’s driving your symptoms and give you the tools to retrain your nervous system. You don’t need to become a lifetime client. This work is designed to restore autonomy, not create dependency.
Calm, Clear Communication
You’ve likely had your symptoms dismissed, misunderstood, or pathologised. I speak plainly. I explain the science in ways that make sense — no jargon, no hype — so you can make informed decisions about your health.
Safety + Integrity
Everything I offer is trauma-sensitive, respectful of your boundaries, and grounded in professional ethics. I’ll never make promises I can’t keep, and I won’t pretend this journey is always easy — but I will walk alongside you with honesty and care.
You Are Not Broken
IBS is not “in your head.” It’s in your nervous system — and that means it can be changed. I believe every person deserves to feel safe, at home in their body, and confident in their life again. That’s what I’m here to help you reclaim.
