Presenting at the NZAPH Conference

Last weekend I had the privilege of presenting at the NZ Association of Professional Hypnotherapist's annual conference on the topic of Resetting the Gut–Brain Axis - Clinical Applications of Gut Directed Hypnotherapy.

During my presentation I spoke about:

  • What IBS actually is — a disorder of gut–brain interaction, not a “digestive mystery”

  • Why gut-directed hypnotherapy (GDH) is now recommended in major clinical guidelines

  • The science behind how hypnosis retrains gut–brain communication and reduces symptoms

  • Real-world case outcomes and the structure of my Freedom From IBS program

The NZAPH Committee provided me with this feedback:

“Kia ora Tony,

Thank you for your fascinating and practical presentation on gut-directed hypnotherapy. Your ability to bridge scientific evidence with compassionate client care truly captured the essence of modern hypnotherapy. During this 25th Anniversary of NZAPH, your work reminded us how far we’ve come in integrating mind and body approaches and how much more we can achieve together.

With gratitude,

The NZAPH Committee”

It’s exciting to be part of a growing movement bringing science-based gut-directed hypnotherapy (GDH) to people who need it most.

IBS affects millions, yet many people still don’t know that GDH is one of the most effective, evidence-based options for long-term symptom relief.
